Stones Cover Band
These days there are hardly any bands that don’t have a tribute act dedicated to them.
This is probably because the acts themselves don’t play live very often, and when they do, they tend to play very large venues and they charge very high ticket prices. Of course, the promoter will argue that this is simply supply and demand - in other words there more people who want to see the band than there are places available at the venues.
No wonder then, that tribute acts are so popular. If you can’t see the real thing due to cost, or because they aren’t touring then the next best option is to see one of their tribute acts. The Rolling Stones have many high class tribute acts including the Counterfeit Stones and Stikkyfingers in the UK, and Satisfaction and the Glimmer Twins in the US.
Each of these bands gives a flavour of the Rolling Stones and they will not disappoint. They play the music of the Rolling Stones very well, and often they look like the Rolling Stones too, which adds to the fun. The Rolling Stones have such a huge back catalogue that the tribute acts are spoilt for choice when creating their set lists, and often they add a touch of theatre to the songs (as the Stones do) when they play them live.
Needless to say, it’s all great fun and the audience love the spectacle, but most of all they love the music.
What’s the best thing for your party or event if you’re a Rolling Stones fan? The Stones would want somewhere in the region of £2m to play for you, whereas a tribute band will be much less. It’s simple economics really - not many people have millions of pounds lying around in their bank accounts. The tribute band will be able to play the songs very well and get very close to the Rolling Stones show - but of course they aren’t the Stones.
Live music is the best type of music - go see a band today!
